Edward Jack Gearhart

	Edward Jack Gearhart, 57, of Pomona, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2001 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
	Mr. Gearhart was an operator-engineer.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cobden, the American Legion in Cobden, the VFW in Anna and was President of the Veterans Memorial in Alto Pass.  He was a veteran.
	He was born August 15, 1943 at Pomona, the son of Leslie and Evelyn Latchshaw Gearhart.
	Surviving are his daughter, Jacqueline Suzette Gearhart of Anna; son, Monte Shawn Gearhart of Murphysboro and one grandchild.  He was also survived by his wife, Carolyn Gearhart of Pomona, who passed away Sunday, March 4, 2001.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
	Funeral services were held Thursday, February 1, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Dillow officiating.  Interment was in Alto Pass Cemetery.
	Visitation was Wednesday, January 31 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home.
	The VFW served as pallbearers.
